Kids will start only twice — on heats 2 (Tamsalu) and 4 (Koeru).


Important info

Medical help for participants is not in race site. Dog veterinarian is in race centre. Emergency number is 112.

Cars has to be parked following the instructions given by organisers.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in race area.

TRAINING – for enthusiasts, simplier

TRAINING class

Training class is for sports enthusiasts, who doesn’t want to race for place. The starting intervalles have been expanded to prevent difficult passings in the trail. There are no ranking. Open class is good way to start competing in sleddog sport races. To participate in open class, select the class TRAINING in registration form.

Signs in trail

Trail is marked with IFSS approved markings and with serie markings.

  • Blue square — move straight

  • Red circle — turn marked direction

  • Yellow triangle — difficult element

Bib number

Bib numbers have to be seen from front and back of participant.

In case of losing bib number, replace number will be given from event centre for 5€.

Timing

Timing is electronical, SportIdent timing system is used. Timing chip will be given to contestant when on start. It has to be placed around forearm. When finishing, the hand with chip can not be raised. In finish the chip has to be returned immidiately to finish crew.

Preliminary results will be published on our website as soon as possible, but they can be changed. Final results will be published five days after the race day.

Stage 1: Ebavere (Oct 4)

TRAIL

Ebavere trail is suitable for starting heat because of its numerous climbings. This trail can be used for skiing in winters and therefore has quite soft ground. Video of trail is available on EDW info website.

STARTING TIMES

Heat 1 starting times will be published at Oct 3, 0:00.

EVENT CENTRE

In event centre, following services are available: registration, information, toilets.

STAKE OUT

Parking and stage-out is opened from 9 o’clock. Please follow the instructions given by organisers. We won’t guarantee stake out slot near trees.

OVERNIGHT STAYING

Overnight staying allowed only in Ebavere stake-out. There is no electricity on staying area.

Stage 2: Tamsalu (Oct 5)

TRAIL

Trail in Tamsalu is also hilly and with fast descents. It is mainly gravel road without skiing pavement.

STARTING TIMES

Heat 2 starting times will be published at Oct 4, 22:00.

EVENT CENTRE

In event centre, following services are available: registration, information, toilets, catering.

STAKE OUT

Parking and stage-out is opened from 6 o’clock. Please follow the instructions given by organisers. We won’t guarantee stake out slot near trees.

LUNCH

Lunch for participants (not for training class) is available 13:00-15:00 at race centre.

OVERNIGHT STAYING

Overnight staying allowed only in Ebavere stake-out. There is no electricity on staying area.

Stage 4: Ebavere (Oct 6)

TRAIL

Trail in Koeru is easier than Tamsalu and Ebavere, but still has lighter ascents.

Heat 3 starting times will be published at Oct 6, 1:00.

AWARDING CEREMONY

Awarding ceremony will be held as soon as last results will be approved.

PARALLEL RACE ON SITE

Parallel to EDW last heat, Pro Plan Estonian Dryland Cup last stage will be held on Koeru. About Pro Plan EDC Koeru stage, read more from drylandestonia.ee/2019/koeru.

Catering

Starting fee (not in training class) includes lunch and dinner for Saturday. For not participants, it is possible to order meals when signing up to race. Lunch soup costs 4€ and dinner meal 9€.


Accomodation

Pro Plan Estonian Dryland Weekend  is located in different places every day. Therefore, it is suggested to find accomodation near Tamsalu, as two stages in Saturday will be held there.

ACCOMODATION IN STAKE-OUT

It is possible tent in Ebavere stake-out during nights. Please note that no electricity nor water will be provided there. When planning to stay in stake-outs, it has to be marked when signing up to race.
It is not allowed to tent in Tamsalu and Koeru.
